Personal Background My name is Cindy Spaedy. I live on a farm in Bunceton, Missouri outside of Boonville where I am currently working as a library media assistant. I am married and am a mother of two children, Hannah who is 14, and Hunter who is 12. My family spends much of our time enjoying our farm where we entertain many friends and family who enjoy the outdoors as much as us. My husband and I spend much of our time transporting our children to many sporting events, where we make our children proud as we show our overwhelming support. When I am not 100% consumed being a mother and wife, I enjoy walking and working in the yard. My biggest passion is spending time with my children and just hanging out with my family. Professional Background I am currently employed with the Boonville Public School District. My title is a library media assistant. When our school expanded from a K-1 facility to a K-2 primary school I was encouraged to get my certification as a Library Media Specialist K-12.When I finish I will graduate with a Masters of Science in Library Science and Information Services. After graduation I hope to continue working in this district. I really enjoy the age group that I am currently working with and hope to use my experience to create a library media center that will promote learning in the 21st century. I am currently a member of MASL association and attend the conferences each spring. I have attended the conference now for the past two years and have made wonderful professional networking connections and have learned a great deal from the resources the conference provides. In my student life I have really learned how to use online databases more effectively and learn much more about the many resources the library has to offer.
